Children at Belmont UMC have the opportunity to attend Sunday school from 9:15-10:15. We have age appropriate classes including a class for Toddlers, 3 year olds-5 year olds, 1st and 2nd grades, 3rd and 4th grades and 5th and 6th grades. Dedicated teachers offer the word of God through creative, interactive learning, including art, science projects and acting!
Our children are welcome in worship, and often help lead worship at Belmont! This is a very important value to us as we believe that children are made in God’s image and if we don’t listen to how children know God, then we will miss a part of knowing God too! Children lead prayers and welcome, read scripture and sing in the various children’s choirs. We love having children in our worship services! We provide worship bags for children, children’s moments by one of our pastors, and we encourage families to sit in the front so their children can absorb the sights and sounds of the sanctuary.
Rocking chairs and open space are available in the back of the sanctuary for anyone who needs more movement during worship.
