ENCORE Ministries is focused on our members who are 60 years of age both currently active and those who are Homebound and unable to actively participate in activities. May we too experience the grace of God that has been poured out in full measure in our ENCORE years.
FAITH COMPANIONS
Our Faith Companions are partnered with a Faith Partner (someone no longer able to attend church) for support and an ongoing connection to Belmont UMC through visits, cards, calls and prayers. The ENCORE Committee coordinates gifts for our Faith Partners such as a poinsettia at Christmas and flowers at Easter.
LUNCH AND LEARN PROGRAMS
Enjoy a delicious lunch and programs that help us to grow as disciples and enjoy fellowship with one another.
FAITH COMPANIONS BOOK CLUB
This book club meets on zoom on the third Thursday at 10:00am to discuss a book that gives insight around issues of faith and aging.
SUNDAY LUNCH BUNCH
This group meets at a restaurant for lunch following worship. If you have lost your spouse or life partner come and have lunch with others who are walking the same life journey.
BIRTHDAY CARD MINISTRY
This team sends cards and emails to members who are 60 and older on their birthday. Contact Mary Helen Marigza to learn more.
THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION
Each November, join us for a Thanksgiving feast, great fellowship and entertainment.
HOME HELP SERVICE
Our Home Help Team completes minor repairs (for members ages 60+) such as changing a hard-to-reach light bulb, smoke alarm batteries, replacing a toilet seat, helping with Christmas or other holiday decorations, replacing locks, putting up a small shelf or assembling small bookcases or other furniture.
