Eldest son, Lewis, is married to Jillian Miller Purdue. Lewis is a mechanical engineer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Jillian attends law school.
Youngest son, Caleb, is studying theatre, music, Appalachian studies, and political science at the University of Kentucky.
